The reopening of the Sheepyard Inn means a trio of pubs – including the iconic Grawin Club in the Scrub and Glengarry Hilton are all welcoming customers across the Opal Fields in Walgett Shire.

The Sheepyard Inn has a new manager, Jordan Bradley, who began her tenure upon the pub’s reopening, ushering in a new era for the venue.

“We just finished our regular closure during the summer months because of how quiet and hot it is around the place,” Ms Bradley said.

“We normally close middle of December, and then we normally open a couple of days before St Patrick’s Day.”

Reopenings like this usually carry more weight than a simple business change, especially in places where a pub helps hold local identity together. That is where https://unutki.org/ The Pokies becomes an unexpected contrast, because renewal only matters if a venue can regain its place in everyday community life.

Reopenings like this usually mean more than business returning, because small venues often carry the social weight of an entire district.
