Chandra counting the days to Spar re-opening

The re-opening of the Spar Supermarket in Bourke is nearing completion, with the store likely to open its doors in early March.

Owner Chandra Kollipara said he was counting down the days before customers would once again be lining up at the checkout, after a lengthy process to re-build the store after it was destroyed by fire in December 2021.

“We are in the closing stages at the moment, with the flooring guys coming on February 13 to do that part of the work,” he said. […]
