Chaffey expresses anger over federal budget

Federal Member for Parkes Jamie Chaffey says people across rural Australia are fed up with being overlooked, claiming country communities have once again come out on the losing end of the Federal Government’s latest budget.

Speaking on 2WEB ahead of parliamentary sittings in Canberra, Mr Chaffey said he had recently spent time speaking with people across rural NSW about the budget and rising cost pressures.

“I talked to hundreds of people, country people, people who love where they live in rural Australia, and they are very angry with a Labor government that’s put out a budget that isn’t fit for purpose for them,” Mr Chaffey said.

“Our councils have lost out on this budget, our farmers have lost out on this budget. Everyone who is in small business has lost out on this budget.” […]
