The staff at Walgett Shire Council have plans to celebrate Local Government Week, which begins on Monday 29 July.

Local councils sometimes get a bad rap, but NSW Local Government Week is all about focussing on the services that local councils provide to the community that go beyond just roads, rates and rubbish.

Celebrated from Monday 29 July to Sunday 4 August, Walgett Shire Council is celebrating the week with events in Walgett and Lightning Ridge.[…]
