Lightning Ridge Central School took a unique approach to Harmony Week by engaging its youngest learners in a culinary journey.

This initiative was part of the broader Harmony Week festivities, aimed at embracing the rich tapestry of cultures that make up the Australian community.

Students from backgrounds near and far came together to prepare and share meals that reflected their cultural heritage.

The air in the school’s classrooms was filled with enticing aromas, as various dishes were prepared.

From the simplicity of fairy bread in the kindergarten classes to more complex creations like pizzas, pancakes, Greek salads, and samosas in the older grades, the range of foods reflected the world’s culinary diversity.[…]
