Carp harvest could deliver profit — and save our rivers

The infestation by European carp in Barwon-Darling river system is likely to worsen without drastic intervention, according to residents reliant on the river, and the recreational fishing community across NSW.

At the Bre Big Fish competition over the June long weekend, almost 1300 carp weighing a total of more than one tonne, were pulled out of the Barwon over just three days.
