Bourke is home to people from many far-flung corners of the globe who choose to settle there, despite its remote location. Among them is Sneha Sappa, whose journey is a remarkable tale of resilience and achievement.
Originally from India, Sneha moved to Bourke a year ago and is now a familiar face at the local IGA store, where she works as both a store assistant and Accountant. “In addition to her work there, she has achieved impressive academic milestones, holding three Master’s degrees. Last week, Sneha graduated from the University of Wollongong with her third Master’s in Professional Accounting (Advanced). Proud family members, including her elder sister, Swetha, and her mother, Rama Devi Bhagavantham Sappa, attended the ceremony.
