Bourke students get a taste of city life

A group of Bourke High School’s Student Representative Council had the trip of a lifetime last week when they visited Sydney on a whirlwind tour of some of the city’s most famous landmarks.

The eight SRC students, aged from 12 to 14, ‘glamped’ in accommodation on iconic Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour, along with Bourke High teachers Allie Sims and Brooke Hamilton, Head Teacher of Wellbeing.

The trip was designed to give the students, from Years 7 to 10, the chance to experience a big city and learn the sort of leadership and life skills that will support them in the future
