St Ignatius Parish School is asking for assistance to replace its ageing 22-seater 1997 Mitsubishi Coaster, a vital resource for transporting students to various events and programs. With an estimated cost of over $100,000 for a new bus, Principal Una Taylor is calling on the community for creative fundraising ideas and support.

The current bus has become a fixture of school life at St Ignatius, facilitating student transitions to high school, transporting pupils to the local PCYC, and allowing participation in various community events. However, Principal Taylor emphasises that the bus, while functional, has seen better days. “The bus we have is getting on in years, and we believe now is the ideal time for our community to come together to explore ways to fund a replacement,” she stated.
