Bourke’s Next Gen shines at Collarenebri knockout

The Bourke Warriors Next Generation have come home with plenty to be proud of after finishing runners-up at the Collarenebri Rugby League Knockout over the King’s Birthday long weekend.
After overcoming last year’s grand finalists West Magpies from Goodooga and then the host side Collarenebri, the Bourke outfit went down in the final to a star-studded Williams Warriors team.
Bourke Warriors team manager Ernie Delany said the result was a source of pride for everyone involved.
“We just let one get away from us in the final,” he said.
“The boys played good footy all day, and I have to give a big shout out to Collarenebri for hosting such an excellent knockout over there. It was a freezing morning with a stiff little breeze blowing, but the boys turned up.” […]
