Bourke pool turns blue for a cause

The Bourke War Memorial pool turned blue last week in support of local girl Paisley Gordon who has Type 1 diabetes, and to spread awareness about diabetes. 

Event organiser Lisa Rankmore said the event was to raise donations for the Diabetes Foundation, as well as support and awareness for Paisley in her struggle with Type 1 diabetes.

“The afternoon started off with races in the pool, with blue kickboards and blue noodles,” Lisa said.

“We also had some very special motorbike riders from the Black Dog Foundation come in wearing blue - Anthony Lollback, Frankie Kerr, John Laycock, Dave Nylan and Aaron Marsh, before the main event - the blue colour run. […]
