It was such a nice evening on Friday and despite a few clouds in the afternoon, we managed to get through our last game of junior cricket without any rain delays!

The Junior Blasters were unable to get into the nets due to it being too wet so focussed on some skills instead. Players of the week were Mikayla Pavy, Dean Shabbir, Stanley Napper, Jaxon Parnaby and Lottie Seiler.

In the Under 14’s, Team A beat Team B 69 runs to 41. Top batting scores for the evening were Darcy Bell (11), Nicho Bates (10), Archie Bell (9), Charlie LeLievre (9), Will Rice (9), Dustin Nott (9) and Zaviah Knight (8).

Great bowling this week from Kobi Williams (2/3), Darcy Bell (2/6), Ned Taylor (2/7) and Hugh Seiler (1/2).

Under 14’s players of the week were Hugh Seiler, Samuel Pavy, Hayden Ryder and Carson Ryder. Jack Smart-Angel got the ball.

As it was our final game, we also held our end of season presentation. The Junior Blasters were presented with their medallions. They have worked hard this year and should be proud of how far they have come.

The Under 14’s group were also presented with their awards. Award winners were:

• Coach’s award – Clare Lawson

• Most improved – Bruce Delaney

• Most runs – Dustin Nott (139 runs)

• Most wickets – Kobi Williams, Nicho Bates and Dustin Nott (9 wickets)
