Members of the Bourke Historic Vehicle Club travelled to the Barringun Roadhouse for lunch on Sunday before a quick trip to the Queensland border.

Secretary of the club Liz Kerr said that now that the weather is cooler, members are hoping for the day trips to be a monthly event.

“If anyone is interested in joining these trips, please email the club for details at bourkehistoricvehicleclub@gmail.com,” she said.

You do not have to own a historic vehicle to become a member.

Liz said that the Bourke Historic Vehicle Club values passion for the old cars and welcomes anyone wanting to join.

The next meeting of the club is at the Bourke Men’s Shed, Mitchell Street, Bourke on Sunday 14 July, from 11am. For club members, a reminder that yearly membership will be due soon as we head into the new financial year.
