Kidman Way Veterinary Surgery has a new fulltime vet, with Charlotte Nott filling a vacancy that has existed for three years.

“We had this wonderful vet for many, many years in Bourke,” Charlotte said, “Mary Jane Stutsel – but she had to move for family reasons.

“It’s been a bit tricky trying to get a permanent vet for Bourke over the last three years, and I feel like the community was struggling with that, with no after-hour service.”

Charlotte is not new to the region; she has been a Bourke local since 2005, working for the NSW Department of Primary Industries and for Local Land Services as a district vet, assisting with herd and flock health on properties in the district.

Now she plans on serving the community as the local vet – to bring consistency to the local Veterinary Surgery.
