Bourke Council determined to save the tourism season

Despite one of the worst downturns in years, brought on by ongoing fuel pricing and availability issues, Bourke Shire Council is taking a positive approach to salvaging what remains of this year’s tourism season.

With a view to increasing visitor numbers, Council has launched a social media campaign highlighting the destinations, scenery, points of interest and rich history of the shire in a bid to encourage tourists thinking about hitting the road, to choose Bourke – and stay longer.
