Bourke Bowling Club — Ladies start the season with a win

Our lady pennants bowlers have kicked off their pennants season in style with an impressive 39-26 win over West Dubbo.

In a game that was moved to Nyngan due to West Dubbo’s unwillingness to travel to Bourke, this was all the motivation our lady bowlers needed, putting on a dominant display as they led from start to finish. The ladies will now take on West Dubbo’s second team in Nyngan this Saturday.

In grade 5 pennants, the team travelled to Trangie in what was sure to be an exciting game and it did not disappoint with the lead changing multiple times before Bourke kicked away to a handy lead and looked to be cruising. Trangie then fought back to be within 5 shots, only for Bourke to drop 6 shots on the final end with Bourke going down 62-61.
