Bourke Bowling Club - George and Georgia are pairs champions

George and Georgia Dickson won the mixed pairs championships on Monday afternoon, defeating George’s dad Kurt Dickson and Krystal Bock.

In other championship news over the past few weeks the team of Chad Taylor, Daniel Davis, Peter Lienesch and Daniel Lawson took out the fours, Richard Stephens and Daniel Davis were too strong in the major pairs, John Mussig took out the minor singles, and Barb Davis won the ladies singles in a nailbiter against Georgia Dickson.

The Back O’Bourke Ladies Pairs will go ahead this Saturday with 20 teams looking to take out the first prize of $2,000. The games kick off at 9am on Saturday with the final set to be played at around 6:30pm.

Only a few championships remain to be played and dates for those games will be locked in shortly.

Meanwhile at the Lightning Ridge District Bowling Club, preparations are underway for the 2024 Peter Williams Black Opal Classic over next week – 14th – 18th October.
