Bourke Biggest Playgroup was big!

The Connected Beginnings Team at Bourke and District Children’s Services has successfully run another Bourke’s Biggest Playgroup, along with the help of other services involved in the Maranguka Early Childhood and Parenting Working Group.

Each service has different families that they work with, so it is an opportunity for everyone to come together to enjoy a day of playing, learning and socialising.

The idea is for services to engage and interact with families so that all children 0-5 years have access to early childhood playgroups and programs.  It’s an opportunity to provide a fun activity that engages children and families which then helps to form relationships and trust.  It is also an opportunity for families to find out what services are available in the community in a fun, informal setting.
