The donation was part of the funds raised at the recent  tournament held in Bourke during NAIDOC Week.

Rod Crowfoot gave special thanks to the bowls committee for sharing the donation with Macquarie Homestay. He also acknowledged the publicity generated in the community through the tournament.

“This donation helps us provide the resources to make our guests stay comfortable and helps alleviate some of the pressure while they are away from home. “

Mr Crowfoot also acknowledged that he loves hearing about the wide variety of events and fundraisers in the communities.

“It makes our day when we hear that the Bowls committee has decided  to share some of the proceeds with us, knowing it makes a meaningful differenceto the members of their community when they stay with us while receiving medical treatment in Dubbo.”

Victor stated that it was his   pleasure to be able to do his bit to help in raising funds for such a worthy cause, because he’d had need to stay at Mcquarie Homestay on numerous occasions for medical reasons.
