Boost to Aboriginal child and family centres in Bourke

Bourke will soon see major new investment in early childhood services, with Maranguka awarded one of three new Aboriginal Child and Family Centres (ACFCs) announced under the NSW Government’s $100 million Expansion and Enhancement Program.

The $44 million commitment will fund centres in Bourke, Broken Hill, and the Central Coast, creating culturally grounded hubs that deliver early education, health and family supports for Aboriginal communities.

For Bourke, the ACFC will be based at the integrated Yanmali site, expanding services already offered by Bourke and District Children’s Services and strengthening local partnerships.
