Big Rugby Gala Day at Bourke

The sound of over 100 keen young Rugby Union players filled the air at Bourke’s Davidson Oval last Sunday, as players hit the field for the Bourke Rams Junior Rugby Club’s Gala Day.

Teams from Bourke, Gular, Brewarrina, Macquarie Emus, Walgett, and Coonamble filled the oval, enjoying Bourke’s turn to host the event.

Samara Milgate, a committee member of the Bourke Rams Junior Rugby Union Club and mother to two keen rugby players, said the Gala Day was busy but very rewarding.

“We had four different age level sides from Under 6s through to Under 12s and all the clubs provided teams in each level,” Samara said.
