Big plans for Bourke’s Davidson Oval

There’s been rapid progress on the upgrade of facilities at Davidson Oval.
The brand new, modular change-rooms and toilets are now in place, and further upgrades are on the way, including new lighting for the oval and a canteen and small function room incorporated into the re-designed spectators’ area.
Bourke Shire Council General Manager Leonie Brown said the work on the improvements was ahead of schedule and she was hopeful the toilets and changerooms would be operation when the whistle blows for the Old Boys Rugby grudge match at Easter.
“The Uniplan’ modular building provides four changerooms – two male and two female each for the home teams and visiting teams, as well as a room with facilities for umpires and referees,” Mrs Brown explained.
The building was transported from Armidale in pieces on the back of three trucks and is now in place.
