Bourke’s Morrall’s Bakery and Brewarrina’s Muddy Waters Coffee Shop and Gallery are both winners in the 2021 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards.

The annual awards which reflect ‘the best of the best’ are based on reviews from travelers for service, quality, and customer satisfaction, across the globe.

To win this award, travel industry providers need to have great reviews, responsive owners and provide positive traveller experiences.

Both Morrall’s Bakery and Brewarrina’s Muddy Waters Café did just that, and last week were both named in the top ten percent of restaurants worldwide.

Johno Milgate from Morrall’s Bakery said this was all made possible because of his wonderful team.

“It starts out the back, moves onto the frontline staff, donning their masks in these especially challenging times, right down to our fantastic visitors and locals who support us.

“I’m really proud of our whole team. It’s not just one, it’s not me and Tanya, it’s a whole team effort. And that goes for the travellers and locals alike.

“The girls in the front are amazing. It can be hard to smile with masks on, but they’ve managed it. They’ve done great,” Johno said.

And it’s the local content that Johno believes keeps things going and the doors open.

“When things are quiet in the tourism trade, it’s our locals that keep us alive.

“Being able to provide top quality, fresh food for our locals and from our local supermarkets, allows us to provide the freshest product out of our business.
