Bourke cricketer Ben Nott has been selected in a 2026 Over 50s team to compete against Queensland in a state-of origin- type clash in Brisbane over the June long weekend (8 and 9 June).

Run by Cricket Masters NSW and the Queensland equivalent, the Cooper Finlay trophy is an over 50s, over 60s and over 70s cricket tournament where the state teams that win the most games claim the trophy.

In February this year Ben, Mick Jackson and Andrew Bell played for Macquarie at the State Championships, and Ben obviously caught the eye of the selectors. […]
