The Bre Googars had a decisive 30-14 win over the Walgett Dragons at Brewarrina’s Geoff New Oval on Sunday.

Hudson Boney was a standout for the Brewarrina side, scoring two tries and two conversions.

In the Ladies League Tag at Brewarrina on Sunday, the Walgett Dragons had a big 56-8 win over the Bre Googars.

Kiara Smith was outstanding for Walgett scoring four tries, Shauri Murphy scored three, Jalissa Townsend scored two and Pam Abel, Eileen Roberts, and Janette Murphy all scored a try each.

Best and fairest points went to Pamela Abel of Walgett (3), Alexandia Murray of Walgett (2) and Jarrah Bill of Brewarrina (1).

Next week is a catchup for round one, with Goodooga hosting the Bre Googars and Walgett Dragons at home to the Bourke Warriors.
