Barwon-Darling defeats Outback rep team at Cobar

Rugby League

The Barwon-Darling rugby league rep team travelled to Cobar on Saturday and defeated the Outback Rugby League team by 30-16.

The Barwon- Darling team was made up of players from Bourke, Brewarrina, Walgett and Goodooga, and captained by Colin Lang of Bourke and coached by Kevin Hooper of Goodooga.

The Outback team was made up of players from Wilcannia, Menindee and Broken Hill.

For Barwon-Darling, Bourke’s Sam Canty was a standout player, scoring two tries running through the centre of the Outback defence.

Other try scorers for the Barwon Darling team – with one try each – were Max Nina, and Clifton Cubby – both from Bourke, and Trent Mason of Walgett. […]
