BACHS recognised for outstanding contribution

Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service

The Bourke Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (BACHS) was recently awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Quality Management Practice in Clinics Award from the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW (AH&MRC).

As part of BACHS funding obligations with the Department of Health, it is required that Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) embed Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and best practice clinical and organisational governance into primary health service delivery, while supporting good health outcomes for patients.

This prestigious award was presented during the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Network Dinner on 22 May as part of the CQI State Forum 2024 held in Sydney.
