‘All In’ Walk brings community together

The All In Walk is part of Reconciliation Week, organised by the Bourke and District Children’s Services to promote a sense of unity and optimism in our community.
More than 200 people attended the event on Friday, and although the walk was held at there BDCS – and emphasised children, schooling and education within the Bourke community, there was a bigger message – to overcome past differences and face the future together.
Councillor Pat Canty was one of the organisers of the event and she said she was pleased that so many people turned up to support the walk and its message of reconciliation.
“It was really great,” she said. “The schools were all there and many community people, as well as parents from the early childhood services,” Councillor Canty said.
“It’s really important that as Australians, we all reconcile with each other, and we do that every day here at Bourke and District Children’s Services.
“But it’s really important that we continue, outside of Reconciliation Week as well,” she said. […]
