Air Link services to keep flying as government extends funding

Air Link services connecting Bourke, Walgett and Lightning Ridge to Dubbo will be supported until late next year.
The NSW Government’s decision to extend subsidies for commercial flights to remote towns in Barwon has been welcomed by the Member for Barwon, Roy Butler, but he says more needs to be done to secure the future of air services to the region.
The subsidies support Air Link to operate eight return routes each week servicing Bourke, Walgett, and Lightning Ridge, as well as Fly Pelican to operate six return flights each week between Sydney and Cobar.
The state government subsidies will now continue until November 2026.
