It’s not unusual for a country school to have a few new teachers arriving at the beginning of the year, but Lightning Ridge Central School is welcoming nine new full-time teachers and two part-time teachers this year.

Most have come from the more densely populated areas of NSW that have shopping centres, movie theatres, a postie that delivers mail to your letterbox, and where primary and secondary schools are located separately on different campuses.
