The inaugural ‘Lightning Ridge Super 4s’ – with prizes totalling $130,000, including a world record $80,000 first prize for the Super 4s – has delivered a high-calibre competition in the Outback.

Some of Australia’s top bowls talent descended on Lightning Ridge last week to compete in one of the richest events in the sport.

With 24 teams, including many of the country’s leading clubs, the tournament showcased elite-level competition across four days, culminating in a thrilling grand final between Broadbeach Bowling Club and Musgrave Hill Bowling Club, decided 19–18 after 18 ends.
