More police patrols to handle juvenile crime

Police are cracking down on juvenile crime after a spate of incidents in Bourke over the past few weeks, including vandalism in Central Park and the CBD.
Commander of Central North Police District, Superintendent Andrew Hurst said anti-social behaviour of children as young as ten had been a concern to police.
Supt Hurst said that local police who were stepping up patrols of known hotspots as well as engaging with the various youth organisations to try and identify the children involved in the criminal behaviour.
