Celebrations as Goodooga Road seal completed

The town of Goodooga was in celebration mode on Friday when the final stretch of road seal was completed on the Goodooga Road.

The road seal is 32 kilometres in total and stretches to just six kilometres south of the Queensland border at Hebel.

The project began in June 2019, meaning this major piece of infrastructure was finished in less than 12 months using almost entirely local labour.

Brewarrina Shire Mayor Phillip O’Connor said the whole of Goodooga should be proud of what had been achieved and he acknowledged the hard work of the locals and contractors who had committed to finishing the project.
