Four more charged with drug supply in Bourke

Four more people have been charged following an investigation into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the Bourke area.

In May 2020, detectives attached to Central North Police District established Strike Force Portside to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in Bourke.

Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives and officers attached to Central North Police District arrested a 27-year-old man at a home in Bourke about 9am on Wednesday 19 August 2020.

He was taken to Bourke Police Station and charged with six counts of possessing and supplying prohibited drugs.

Shortly after, a second man, aged 27, was arrested at a home in Bourke, and a 34-year-old woman was arrested at a third address in Bourke.

The man was charged with four counts of possessing and supplying prohibited drugs, and with possessing equipment for administering drugs.

The woman was charged with two counts of supply of a prohibited drug.

The two men were bail refused to appear at Bourke Local Court, and the woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Bourke Local Court on 10 September 2020.
