Two Bourke residents have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the community.
Victor Bartley and Gracyn Bowden are the proud recipients of community recognition statements delivered by Member for Barwon Roy Butler.
Six-year-old Gracyn Bowden received her award for the compassionate and courageous act she performed, cutting her beautiful long hair, and donating it to the Hair with Heart Charity, when one of her friend’s was diagnosed with brain cancer.
Gracyn not only lost her beautiful locks, but this brave and selfless young lady raised $2,000 for the Variety children’s charity.
Member for Barwon Roy Butler said that Gracyn’s contribution was a true inspiration.
