Bourke Junior Cricket held its long awaited presentation day on Saturday.

The final game and presentation were originally scheduled for March but unfortunately were early victims of the COVID-19 restrictions and had to be postponed.

Collaborating with Bourke Junior Rugby, the two clubs hosted a joint presentation and sign- on day to capitalise on the return to community sport. It was great to see such a good turnout of players.

The Junior Blasters were presented with their medals by coordinator Russell Tiffen. There was such a big improvement in this group, especially considering some started the season having never put bat to ball.

The Under 12’s had a great season as well under the leadership of coordinator Ben Nott. Award winners for the Under 12’s were:

Most runs – Dustin Nott (131)

Most wickets – Nicholas Bates (8)

Most improved – William Rice

Coach’s award – Stella Carter
