Bourke’s nightlife is kicking up its heels again as COVID-19 restrictions ease.

A good crowd turned out at the Port of Bourke Hotel on Saturday to enjoy the first live music at the for over three months.

Hotel licensee Luke Moon said the Ballz’n All band was a popular drawcard – but so was the thought of being able to enjoy a beer on tap, a meal in the bistro and some much-needed socialising.

“Everyone was well behaved, and everyone had a great weekend,” Luke said.

“We still had restrictions on numbers and social distancing, but everyone complied with that and enjoyed the live entertainment on Saturday night.

“As long as people are spread out through the hotel, we can have 50 in the bistro, 25 each side of the bar and 50 out the back and maintain that social distancing.
