Lockdown has silver lining

The lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic has meant time to catch up on unfinished business, and to reassess directions.
At the Port of Bourke Hotel, the restrictions to trade have meant time for some much-needed renovations. Publican Luke Moon has used the down time to complete some major refurbishments in the hotel, where the foyer, bistro, main bar and back bars have all been repaired and repainted.
“The major work has been the removal of the dividing wall between the two bars, which has opened the whole area up beautifully and is now one large bar area,” Luke said.
“This new look bar area will have the most impact on the appearance and the efficiency of the bar, and patrons now have more service area and staff have a much more user-friendly space.
