Introducing Bourke Showgirl 2020 – Lilly Hand

Although the 2020 Bourke Show had to be cancelled due to COVID-19, there is a positive story among the bad news.

The Bourke P&A Committee had the pleasure this week of announcing Lilly Hand as the 2020 Bourke Showgirl.

But there is a twist. Because there is no Royal Easter Show, this year’s zone contestants will compete at the Royal Easter Show next year. Bourke Showgirl Coordinator Grace Murray said while it’s a complicated issue, it means Lilly will reign supreme for two years.

“It’s a bit complex, but basically because there are no zone finals the current state finalists have missed out on the Easter show this year and will go to the 2021 show instead, which means no zone finals for next year,” Grace said.
