Girls Academy students enjoy trip of a lifetime

A group of outstanding Bourke High school students were rewarded for their efforts this term with a trip to Wollongong to meet some of the stars of women’s sport.
The Girls’ Academy students participated in the trip last week, where they undertook a range of team building activities as part of the travelling curriculum and were given the opportunity for some face to face mentoring from other high achieving women.
Bourke High School Principal Andrew Ryder said the group of 30 girls was a shining example of girls maintaining excellent school attendance.
“The acknowledgement trip for the Girls Academy students was a jam-packed week,” Principal Ryder said.
