Jones takes Bourke to the nation

Bourke was the talking point across the nation on Monday when 2GB broadcaster Alan Jones invited his three million listeners to hear the story of drought.

Mr Jones arrived in Bourke on Sunday evening to host a forum at the Port of Bourke Hotel. Coincidentally, the entire NSW Cabinet was also enjoying some Bourke hospitality there as well.

He invited the community to raise issues about drought, in particular the Murray Darling Basin Plan.

It was an informal, lively evening and Mr Jones promised he would be making sure the spotlight was well and truly focused on Bourke during his breakfast show the following morning.
