Outback Trek returns to Bourke
After thousands of gruelling kilometres, the Outback Trek rolled back into Bourke at the weekend.
Despite more than two weeks behind the wheel, the 43 drivers kicked up their heels at a wind-up shindig at the Bourke Bowling Club on Saturday night and most of them were already planning next year’s adventure.
Neil ‘Dribbles’ Driscoll is Senior Vice President of the Outback Trek and said while it was tough raising the funds for the nominated charity, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the drivers still made a significant contribution to the cause.
