Bourke and Brewarrina Police have joined commands across the state to crack down on rural crime.
The Rural Crime Community Awareness campaign was launched in Bourke last week with District Commander Superintendent Greg Moore urging people to be alert to suspicious activity in rural areas.
“The campaign is targeting the ongoing issue of four major crime areas of concern – illegal hunting, stock theft, trespassing and firearm theft,” Superintendent Moore said.
