Big dollars for Bourke artists

Bourke’s arts community has received significant funding, with more promised, enabling it to rebuild an active creative facility in the town.
NSW Arts Minister Don Harwin was in Bourke last Thursday to, amongst other things, have a look at progress on the various arts projects funded by the government.
Mr Harwin was briefed on the progress towards opening an Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Centre in Bourke, and said that it is important that each community benefits and gets its fair share of arts funding.
“I am pleased to see the Regional Cultural Fund going to worthwhile and deserving projects like this one.
