Bourke headed to Walgett on Saturday for round 12 – one of the final rounds of the season.
We were able to get 15 players in the paddock this week with special thanks to Brian Smith and Leighlan Brown who both played with injuries.
The Rams were narrowly defeated by the Walgett Rams in a tight game at Walgett’s Algie Friend Oval on Saturday, after scores were 31-28 with 15 minutes to play.
Johnno tells me all boys played well, coming back from 31 points to nil to get to 31-28 before Joash Mann sustained an injury and had to leave the field.
Try scorers this week were Joash Mann, Clynton Edwards, Hogan Shillingsworth and Jamahl Smith scored two. Leighlan Brown had an almost perfect conversion rate, converting 4 of 5 tries. Walgett bagged a couple of late tries, with the final score being 50-33.
The game turned Walgett’s way just as Bourke’s Joash Mann succumbed to an ankle injury and was taken off 10 minutes from the whistle.
