Despite an absence from the well-beaten path to Bourke by recent State government Ministers, Shooters, Fishers and Farmers member Roy Butler is confident his party’s strategy for water management across the region is hitting the mark.
Mr Butler was last week heading for Warren and Brewarrina with fellow Shooters and Fishers MP, Member for Murray, Helen Dalton.
Both have been criticised by Federal member for Parkes Mark Coulton for being at odds with each other over their water policy but both rejected the claims and hit back, saying the NSW government was already implementing their party’s plan.
“The election promise I made was to work hard and be honest,” Mr Butler said. “The National Party is putting out this consistent message that Helen and I have differing opinions, but we were elected on the same Ten Point Plan.
