Macquarie Homestay a hit with Bourke residents

Bourke residents are among the highest users of the new Macquarie Home Stay premises in Dubbo, with 11 per cent of all admissions to the residential centre coming from the town.

Managing Director Rod Crowfoot said the Homestay had proven to be an essential service for people in Bourke, as well as Brewarrina, Walgett, Lightning Ridge and Cobar, who all have to deal with the lack of maternity and emergency wards.

“We are very pleased that the community in Bourke and the other western region towns have adapted and are using the Homestay service,” Mr Crowfoot said.
