Dawn farewelled in style

There were plenty of laughs, tears and stories when much-loved local nurse Dawn Howlett officially retired last week.
A luncheon at Diggers on the Darling was held last Thursday to acknowledge Dawn’s outstanding career as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
In more recent years, Dawn worked with the NSW Outback Division of General Practice in Bourke and Cobar, but her professional life extended well beyond those boundaries.
During the course of her long career, Dawn worked in many other towns and organisations within Western New South Wales.
