Last week students from the Bourke and Walgett centres of the Bourke-Walgett School of Distance Education converged on Bourke for a week of fun and interesting activities.

Whole School Mini-Schools are held once per year and this year we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to show off our town, and interact with members of our community.

Throughout the week students were fortunate enough to get some art lessons from Mr Jonathon Knight who discussed with the students the importance of culture and storytelling, dance lessons from Miss Emily Anderson and some of the girls from Bourke High School, and an information session from our amazing emergency services personnel who were extremely patient and fantastic with our students.
