Local Bourke player Joash Mann is about to step up to the next level after being selected to play for the Western Plains Representative squad in the Country Rugby Union Championships.

His selection is a huge achievement for the star Bourke player, with the Country Championships being hosted by Central North for the next three years and the opportunity to move up the rankings as a result.

Joash will play in his first big tournament in Tamworth over the June long weekend.

It will be a huge opportunity for the Bourke Rams forward to demonstrate his considerable skill. He has been one of the Rams’ key players over several seasons and has been a hard-working, dedicated team member.

The NSW Country Championships are seen as a showcase to expose the very best players from the bush. Joash has been selected along with two Brewarrina players, Rory Finlayson and Ben Standford.
